How it works, and your data
When you connect EDITED to your assistant, it's worth a minute on what's actually happening — because how it works is also why it's safe.
How it works
Your assistant connects to EDITED and uses a set of tools to pull market data when your question needs it. You ask in plain language; behind the scenes the assistant calls the right EDITED tool, gets the data back, and works it into its answer. The data flows from EDITED to your assistant — you're pulling our data, not sending us yours.
EDITED is read-only
EDITED's tools only read: connecting EDITED lets your assistant look up and pull market data from us, and nothing more. It gives your assistant no ability to change, delete, or write anything through EDITED.
What your assistant can do in general — in your own systems and data — is set by your organization and whoever manages your AI tools, not by EDITED. Adding EDITED doesn't widen that. It's a read-only data source, not new powers.
What reaches EDITED
When your assistant needs EDITED data, it doesn't send us your whole conversation — or even your full question. It works out what to look up and sends EDITED just that: a specific request, like "women's dresses, UK, last week." So what reaches us is a narrow lookup, not your prompt, your files, or your account's contents.
What we do receive is handled under EDITED's privacy policy. For more on how EDITED handles data, see Data privacy.
You're in control
You connect by signing in to EDITED, and you can disconnect whenever you like. Your access is yours; removing the connection stops it at once — see managing your connection.
